Many of the terms defined on ArtLex also contain supporting images and illustrations. Students can utilize a pronunciation guide and access links to other resources. The website contains a search engine, allowing users to search within the site or on the Web. ArtLex contains a bibliography and provides additional details and ideas for how artists, students, educators, collectors, and dealers can use the website.

The NGAkids website is provided by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Featuring several interactive art activities, students can create their own art online at the site. Students can experiment with digital photography and image editing using the PHOTO OP program, or create abstract art using BRUSHster. Other programs allow students to create Still Life and Dutch Dollhouses. Students can also explore and interact with different works of art. Current exhibitions are highlighted, and students can search the National Gallery of Art’s collection. The site features a calendar of upcoming events at the museum, as well as children’s guides that are available for download. The Family Activities and NGAClassroom pages allow parents and teachers to search for information and activities.

Students can learn about current exhibits at the association’s Money Museum, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, or take a tour through the site’s Virtual Money Museum. Students can also play games and take quizzes in the Money’Musements section of the website. For students interested in joining the American Numismatic Association, there is a Young Numismatists section just for them. The Paper University website, sponsored by the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI), is designed to provide information to students and teachers about paper and the paper industry. Students can find information about recycling, the environment, and the history of paper and how it is made. Links to information about careers in the pulp and paper industry can be found, as well as links to other resources about the industry. Students can play games in the Fun & Games section or explore science activities in the Fun with Science section. The Art Class section of the website features eight arts and crafts using paper. A few examples of these activities include creating paper by hand, constructing an origami fortune teller, and making recycled paper beads.
